JOB SUMMARY:  
Maintains the cleanliness of a facility and the surrounding grounds to meet customer and client satisfaction.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to perform major janitorial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 25lb. vacuum daily for 3 to 4 hours), wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash (lifting wastepaper and debris- minimum of 55lbs.)
  • Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters). 
  • Fills dispensers and stocking supplies in restrooms.
  • Wash Windows and Sill (Door Glass).
  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet events and facility schedules. 
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.   
  • Performs other related duties as required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
  • Receives supervision from the Shift Supervisor.  Position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.  Must complete jobs without constant supervision.  

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment.  Works standing and walking for prolonged periods of time while cleaning and/sanitizing work area.  
  • Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds. 
  • Physical work is a primary part of job. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. 
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
  • This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes:  Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Must pass background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Effective grooming skills.  
  • Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures. 
  • Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.

Other: Valid Texas Drivers’ License Class C.
